Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 18, 2026

After Bedtime Creations LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates the After Bedtime Creations website, browser extensions, and mobile applications. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our products and services.

Our commitment: We believe your data belongs to you. Our products are designed with privacy as a core principle - we don't track individual users, we don't collect personal information, and we never sell your data. Where we do collect analytics (such as anonymous website statistics or app crash reports), we explain exactly what and why below.

Website

Our website (afterbedtimecreations.com) is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The website itself:

  • Does NOT use cookies
  • Does NOT track individual visitors
  • Does NOT store personal information
  • Does NOT require any account or login

Cloudflare Analytics

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) collects anonymous, aggregate analytics to help us understand website performance. This includes:

  • Page views and visit counts
  • Geographic region (country-level, not precise location)
  • Referring websites
  • Browser and device types (aggregate statistics)
  • Page load performance metrics

Important: Cloudflare's analytics are privacy-first. They do not use cookies, do not fingerprint visitors, and do not collect personal data. We cannot identify individual visitors. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.

External Resources

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which involves requests to Google's servers. Google collects standard server logs (IP address, browser type, referring page) as part of delivering these fonts. Google states they do not use this data for advertising. See Google Fonts Privacy FAQ and Google's Privacy Policy.

Per-Tab Audio Control Extension

This section describes how our browser extension handles your data.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. The extension:

  • Does NOT track your browsing activity
  • Does NOT transmit data to external servers
  • Does NOT use analytics or telemetry
  • Does NOT require an account or login

Data Stored Locally

The extension stores your preferences locally on your device using your browser's built-in storage system (chrome.storage.sync or browser.storage.sync). This data includes:

  • Volume preferences: Your custom volume step sizes for scroll wheel, keyboard, and buttons
  • Per-site rules: Volume and audio settings you've saved for specific websites
  • Custom presets: Your saved volume, bass, treble, and voice boost presets
  • UI preferences: Theme selection (morning/bedtime) and header layout customization
  • Audio mode: Your preferred audio processing mode

Browser Sync

If you are signed into your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or other browsers with sync features), your extension settings may sync across your devices through your browser's built-in sync feature. This sync is handled entirely by your browser and its account system - we have no access to your synced data or your browser account.

Permissions Explained

Install-time permissions — These are required when you first install the extension:

  • tabs: To identify which tab is playing audio and display tab information
  • activeTab: To control audio on the current tab when you interact with the extension
  • storage: To save your preferences locally
  • scripting: To inject the audio control scripts into web pages
  • tabCapture (Chrome): To capture and process audio for volume boost and equalizer features
  • offscreen (Chrome): To maintain audio processing in the background
  • contextMenus: To add right-click menu options
  • Host permissions (all URLs): To control audio on any website you visit

Runtime permissions — These are requested only when you use certain features:

  • Microphone access: Requested only if you use the audio output device selector. Your browser will prompt you for permission. This is used solely to enumerate available audio devices - we do not record or transmit any audio.

Data Retention

Your extension settings are stored locally and retained until you delete them. We do not set any automatic expiration on your preferences.

Data Deletion

You can delete all stored data at any time by:

  • Uninstalling the extension (removes local data)
  • Using your browser's "Clear browsing data" feature
  • Resetting settings to defaults within the extension's options page

Note: If you use browser sync, your settings may also be stored in your browser account's cloud storage. To fully delete synced data, you may need to clear sync data through your browser's account settings.

Mobile Apps

Future mobile apps (iOS/Android) may collect additional data for troubleshooting and improving the user experience. If and when mobile apps are released, they may collect:

  • Crash reports: Device model, OS version, app version, and crash logs to help us fix bugs
  • Usage analytics: Anonymous data about which features are used to help us prioritize improvements
  • Device information: Device type, OS version, and app version for compatibility troubleshooting

Mobile analytics will be processed through industry-standard services (such as Firebase Crashlytics or similar). This data helps us identify and fix issues quickly. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.

Note: This section will be updated with specific details when mobile apps are released.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Cloudflare: Website hosting and anonymous analytics (Privacy Policy)
  • Google Fonts: Font delivery for website (Privacy FAQ)
  • Firebase (future mobile apps): Crash reporting and analytics (Privacy Policy)

We do not sell your data to any third party. Data shared with service providers is limited to what's necessary for them to provide their services.

Your Rights

Because we don't collect personal information, there is generally no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. However, you have the right to:

  • Access: View what data our products store (all extension data is visible in your browser's extension settings)
  • Delete: Remove all stored data by uninstalling the extension or clearing browser data
  • Opt-out: Our browser extension has no analytics to opt out of; future mobile apps will include opt-out options for analytics
  • Contact us: Ask questions about your data by emailing privacy@afterbedtimecreations.com

International Users

Our website is hosted on Cloudflare's global network, which may process requests from servers in various countries. Extension data is stored locally on your device and synced through your browser's infrastructure (if enabled).

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other regions with data protection laws, you have certain rights regarding your personal data. Since we don't collect personal data, these rights primarily apply to our third-party service providers (Cloudflare, Google Fonts).

Do Not Track

Our website and browser extension do not track individual users, so we treat all visitors the same regardless of "Do Not Track" browser settings. We do not respond to DNT signals because we don't engage in the type of tracking that DNT is designed to prevent.

Children's Privacy

Our products are not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
