After Bedtime Creations LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates the After Bedtime Creations website, browser extensions, and other software products. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our products and services.

Our browser extensions are held to the highest privacy standard: no tracking, no analytics, no data collection, no ads. They are free and open source - you can verify this yourself. That commitment is non-negotiable.

Our other software products may have different data practices depending on the product. Each product's specific practices are detailed in its own section below. We never sell your personal data, and we always disclose exactly what is collected and why.

Website

Our website (afterbedtimecreations.com) is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The website itself:

• Does NOT track individual visitors
• Does NOT store personal information
• Does NOT require any account or login

Local Storage

The website uses your browser's localStorage to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Cloudflare Analytics

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) collects anonymous, aggregate analytics to help us understand website performance. This includes page views, geographic region (country-level), referring websites, and browser types. Cloudflare's analytics do not use cookies, do not fingerprint visitors, and do not collect personal data. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

External Resources

Our website self-hosts all fonts locally - no requests are made to Google Fonts or any other external font service.

Mailing List

We offer an optional email newsletter for product announcements, launches, and updates.

What We Collect

When you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your email address. That's it - no name, location, or other personal data is required.

How We Use It

• To send product announcements (new extensions, launches, major updates)
• We do not send marketing emails, promotional offers, or third-party content
• We do not share or sell your email address to anyone
• We do not use your email for any purpose other than sending announcements

How It's Stored

Email addresses are stored securely on our self-hosted newsletter infrastructure. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Your email is never shared with third-party mailing list services.

Your Rights

• Unsubscribe anytime - every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link
• Deletion - unsubscribing permanently removes your email from our list
• No tracking - we do not track email opens, clicks, or reading behavior

We process your email address based on your explicit consent, given when you subscribe. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.

Per-Tab Audio Control Extension

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. The extension:

• Does NOT track your browsing activity
• Does NOT transmit data to external servers
• Does NOT use analytics or telemetry
• Does NOT require an account or login

Data Stored Locally

The extension stores your preferences locally on your device using your browser's built-in storage system. This includes volume preferences, per-site rules, custom presets, UI preferences, and per-site enable/disable settings.

Browser Sync

If you are signed into your browser, your extension settings may sync across your devices through your browser's built-in sync feature. This sync is handled entirely by your browser - we have no access to your synced data.

Permissions Explained

Install-time permissions:

• tabs: To identify which tab is playing audio
• activeTab: To control audio on the current tab
• storage: To save your preferences locally
• scripting: To inject audio control scripts
• tabCapture (Chrome): To capture audio for volume boost and EQ
• offscreen (Chrome): To maintain background audio processing
• contextMenus: To add right-click menu options
• alarms: To power the sleep timer countdown and fade-out
• Host permissions (all URLs): To control audio on any website

Runtime permissions:

• Microphone access: Only requested for audio device enumeration - we do not record or transmit audio

Data Deletion

You can delete all stored data by uninstalling the extension, clearing browser data, or resetting settings within the extension.

Other Software Products

Software products beyond our browser extensions may collect additional data for troubleshooting and improvement. Depending on the product, this may include crash reports, anonymous usage analytics, device information, and advertising data.

Each product will have its own specific privacy details added here when released. If a product collects data, we will tell you exactly what, why, and how to opt out.

Third-Party Services

• Cloudflare: Website hosting and anonymous analytics (Privacy Policy)
• Newsletter: Self-hosted - subscriber email addresses stored on our own infrastructure. Emails are delivered through Amazon Simple Email Service (SES). (Privacy Policy)
• Firebase: May be used in future software products (not browser extensions) for crash reporting and analytics. Will be disclosed per-product if applicable. (Privacy Policy)

We do not sell your data to any third party.

Your Rights

• Access: View what data our products store
• Delete: Remove all stored data by uninstalling or clearing browser data
• Unsubscribe: Remove your email from our mailing list at any time

International Users

Our website is hosted on Cloudflare's global network. Extension data is stored locally. If you are in the EEA, UK, or other regions with data protection laws, your rights are respected. Our mailing list processing is based on explicit consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).

We do not track individual users, so we treat all visitors the same regardless of "Do Not Track" browser settings.
