After Bedtime Creations LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates the After Bedtime Creations website, browser extensions, and other software products. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our products and services.

Our browser extensions are held to the highest privacy standard: no tracking, no analytics, no data collection, no ads. They are free and source-available - you can verify this yourself. That commitment is non-negotiable.

Our other software products may have different data practices depending on the product. Each product's specific practices are detailed in its own section below. We never sell your personal data, and we always disclose exactly what is collected and why.

Website

Our website (afterbedtimecreations.com) is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The website itself:

• Does NOT use cookies
• Does NOT track individual visitors
• Does NOT store personal information
• Does NOT require any account or login

Local Storage

The website uses your browser's localStorage to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Cloudflare Analytics

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) collects anonymous, aggregate analytics to help us understand website performance. This includes page views, geographic region (country-level), referring websites, and browser types. Cloudflare's analytics do not use cookies, do not fingerprint visitors, and do not collect personal data. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

External Resources

Our website self-hosts all fonts locally - no requests are made to Google Fonts or any other external font service.

Mailing List

We offer an optional email newsletter for product announcements, launches, and updates.

What We Collect

When you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your email address. That's it - no name, location, or other personal data is required.

How We Use It

• To send product announcements (new extensions, launches, major updates)
• We do not send marketing emails, promotional offers, or third-party content
• We do not share or sell your email address to anyone
• We do not use your email for any purpose other than sending announcements

How It's Stored

Email addresses are stored securely on our self-hosted newsletter infrastructure. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Your email is never shared with third-party mailing list services or sold to anyone.

Email Delivery

Newsletters are delivered through a third-party email delivery service that processes your email address solely to deliver our messages. The delivery provider acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use your email address for any other purpose. We will update this section with the specific provider's name and privacy policy link once our delivery infrastructure is finalized.

Retention

We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your email address is permanently deleted from our mailing list within 30 days.

Your Rights

• Unsubscribe anytime - every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link
• Deletion - unsubscribing permanently removes your email from our list
• No tracking - we do not track email opens, clicks, or reading behavior

We process your email address based on your explicit consent, given when you subscribe. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.

Per-Tab Audio Control Extension

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. The extension:

• Does NOT track your browsing activity
• Does NOT transmit data to external servers
• Does NOT use analytics or telemetry
• Does NOT require an account or login

Data Stored Locally

The extension stores your preferences locally on your device using your browser's built-in storage system. This includes volume preferences, per-site rules, custom presets, UI preferences, and per-site enable/disable settings.

Browser Sync

If you are signed into your browser, your extension settings may sync across your devices through your browser's built-in sync feature. This sync is handled entirely by your browser - we have no access to your synced data.

Tab Audio Recording

The extension includes a tab audio recording feature that lets you record audio from a browser tab and save it as a file on your computer.

• What is recorded: Only the audio output of the selected browser tab. Microphone input, system audio, and video are never captured.
• Where it's processed: All audio encoding (MP3, WAV, or WebM) happens entirely in your browser's memory. No audio data is sent to any server.
• Where it's saved: When you stop recording, a "Save As" dialog appears. You choose the filename and location. The file is saved directly to your computer.
• Temporary data: During recording, audio is held in browser memory only. The temporary data is released as soon as you save the file, cancel the save dialog, or otherwise close the popup mid-recording. No temporary files are written to disk.
• Recording settings: Your preferred format, bitrate, and sample rate are saved in your browser's synced storage alongside other extension preferences.
• Disclaimer: Before your first recording in a tab, the extension displays a disclaimer reminding you that you are responsible for complying with applicable laws and third-party terms of service.

Permissions Explained

Install-time permissions:

• tabs: To identify which tab is playing audio
• activeTab: To control audio on the current tab
• storage: To save your preferences locally and sync across devices
• scripting: To inject audio control scripts into web pages
• tabCapture: To capture tab audio for volume boost, EQ processing, and recording
• offscreen: To maintain background audio processing and encoding
• contextMenus: To add right-click menu options
• alarms: To power the sleep timer countdown and fade-out
• downloads: To save recorded audio files to your computer via the "Save As" dialog
• Host permissions (all URLs): To control audio on any website you visit

Runtime permissions:

• Microphone access: Only requested for audio output device enumeration (listing available speakers and headphones). The extension does not record from your microphone and never transmits audio.

Data Deletion

You can delete all stored preferences by uninstalling the extension, clearing browser data, or using the "Reset All Settings" option within the extension. Recorded audio files are saved to your computer and can be deleted like any other file.

Other Software Products

Software products beyond our browser extensions may collect additional data for troubleshooting and improvement. Depending on the product, this may include crash reports, anonymous usage analytics, device information, and advertising data.

Each product will have its own specific privacy details added here when released. If a product collects data, we will tell you exactly what, why, and how to opt out.

Third-Party Services

• Cloudflare: Website hosting and anonymous analytics (Privacy Policy)

Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you have the following rights:

• Portability: Export your extension settings via the built-in backup feature
• Withdrawal of consent: Unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time via the link in every email
• Opt-out: Future products will include opt-out options for any data collection

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. We do not sell or share your personal information. The only personal information we may hold is your email address if you subscribe to our mailing list. For EEA/UK Residents (GDPR)

Our browser extensions do not collect personal data. For mailing list subscribers, we process your email address based on your explicit consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). International Users

Our website is hosted on Cloudflare's global network. Extension data is stored locally. If you are in the EEA, UK, or other regions with data protection laws, your rights are respected. Our mailing list processing is based on explicit consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).

Do Not Track

We do not track individual users, so we treat all visitors the same regardless of "Do Not Track" browser settings.

Children's Privacy

Our products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
